Why our email
addresses look so funny and why can't you click on them....
We write out email addresses (e.g.,
jklein at igc dot org) or insert them as pictures so that it's harder
for automatic webcrawlers to send spam to the folks whose addresses are
posted on line.
Section Email Lists
The ASA has created listservs for each section. There are now
two new listservs for our section, one for disseminating
information to section members and one for discussion among section
members.
Click here for more information including directions on how to
subscribe to the discussion list.

Section Members Brief Congress on Military
On May 18, 2007, PWSC
members David Segal and Morten Ender played central roles in ASA’s
congressional briefing on social science research findings and the
military. In particular, they discussed the experience of gay
service members under “Don’t Ask; Don’t Tell” policy as well as the
impact of long deployments on military families. For more
information, click
here. |
Do Video Games Kill? In the most
recent issue of the ASA's magazine, Contexts, Karen Sternheimer presents a
critique of the hypothesis that the proliferation of increasingly violent
videogames leads to a parallel growth in middle-class teenage homicide.
