The purpose of the Section on Peace, War, and Social Conflict is to encourage the application of sociological methods, theories, and perspectives to the study of peace and war. Interests of Section members include diverse subjects such as:

• race and ethnic conflict
• gender and violence
• war refugees

How to Join:

• If you are a member of the ASA, you can easily become a member of our section. Print a copy of the membership form and send it to the ASA informing them that you want to be a Section member. Alternatively, when you renew your ASA membership, check the box for Peace & War Section.
